CARING FOR YOUR FLOWERS

Learn how to make the most out of your flowers with our easy tips to keep them nice and fresh long after their delivery.

HAND-TIED BOUQUETS

• Remove bottom/all wrapping

→ This allows easy water access for your flowers and greenery

• Cut about 1-2cm off the base of the stems at a diagonal and remove any foliage that will sit in water

→ The diagonal cut will allow for more surface area for the flowers to drink up from

→ Keep trimming every few days so water can travel right up to their heads

• Place flowers in vase with flower food. If no flower food is available, add a small amount of vinegar or a drop of dishwashing detergent to help keep the water clean

• Top up water regularly and replace water weekly

• All flowers bloom at different rates. Remove spent flowers and dried foliage to ensure the longevity of surrounding flowers

• Keep flowers in a cool place and out of direct sunlight

FLOWERS IN CONTAINERS

• Flowers will often be arranged in floral foam and should contain water

• Be sure to top up your arrangement with clean water

• Keep in a cool place and out of direct sunlight

• Remove spent flowers and dried foliage regularly

• Keep water levels up to extend the life of your flowers

You can always transfer the flower stems from the container into a vase. Be sure to trim stems so that have a fresh cut to drink up from.

DRIED FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

• Do not water. They do not need water. Sprinkling water or perfume can cause damage

• Keep flowers in a cool dry place. Make sure they are not placed in a high moisture or overly dry area

• Avoid direct lighting to prevent discolouration or fading

• Blow with air dryer from a moderate distance to clear any gathered dust
